The Sales & Marketing Manager is accountable for the growth of STS Marine Solutions business within our four pillars of Marine services. The role focuses on seeking new business opportunities, managing new and existing client relationships, commercial negotiations, maintaining and enhancing our digital marketing presence whilst ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety requirements. The main purpose of the job is to work with the Head of Commercial to ensure the company maintains an effective growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive and monitor the effectiveness of our marketing, both digitally and face-to-face, against budget

• Plan and present annual marketing budget

• Identify key industry events and assign attendees

• Organise the company’s annual IE event

• Grow fender/hose sales and maintenance services

• Identify new business opportunities and develop strategic plans with the other business sectors to produce business cases to the SMT

• Ensure all adverts, PR and communication are in line with the Corporate Guidelines.

• The maintenance and day-to-day running of the STSMS website and LinkedIn profile, ensuring content remains fresh and relevant.

• Monitor & report the effectiveness of our website, Google Ads and LinkedIn profile

• Develop and deliver marketing campaigns and analyse/report their effectiveness

• Identify and develop partnerships with third parties to increase brand exposure

• Manage the company marketing request, prioritising as appropriate and ensuring delivery on time

• The maintenance and development of our Customer Portal.

• Manage key client accounts and build long-term commercial relationships.

• Coordinate closely with operations, marine, and HSSE teams to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and regional demand for our services

• Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and conferences.

• Ensure all commercial activities comply with OCIMF, ISGOTT, MARPOL, SOLAS, and company HSSE policies

• Support contract performance monitoring, revenue tracking, and client satisfaction.

• Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and strategic recommendations for management. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives.


Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in sales and marketing within the Energy sector, prior knowledge of ship-to-ship and marine services

• Strong knowledge of STS operations and maritime regulations.

• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-management skills.

• Ability to work cross-functionally in a safety-critical, operational environment.

Knowledge:

• Ship-to-Ship (STS) transfer operations and offshore marine services

• Oil & gas supply chain, trading, and logistics practices

• Maritime regulations and industry standards (OCIMF, ISGOTT, MARPOL, SOLAS)

• HSSE requirements and risk management in marine/offshore environments

• Commercial contracts, tendering, and rate structures for marine services

• Vessel operations, port restrictions, and offshore transfer locations

• Market dynamics and competitive landscape in STS and marine services

Skills:

• Business development and strategic sales planning

• Commercial negotiation and contract management

• Client relationship and key account management

• Market analysis and opportunity identification

• Cross-functional coordination with operations and HSSE teams

• Strong communication and presentation skills

• Financial and commercial awareness (pricing, margins, forecasts)

• Problem-solving and decision-making in time-critical operations

Salary range: £47,000 - £55,000
